Our Story

In 20103434414425_97464b54e2_o, cancer became a part of our life. While coping with the emotional response to the disease,   the idea of human mortality became real. Our priorities changed, and family and friends became the most important thing on which to turn our focus.

Today, much of the American society socializes through social media rather than face-to-face relationships. In addition to the daily pressures of survival, many people face a loneliness never experienced before in history. A new study from the University of Michigan psychologist Ethan Kross shows how online social media, rather than making us feel connected, contributes to loneliness and reduces overall life-satisfaction.

R Times Magazine was created as part of an evolution on a journey into the world of digital media, and the goal of living life away from the craziness of the world. It is about getting together by creating experiences for our readers, and helping people along the way.

Our goal is to encourage our users to find people, friends and family, to get out from technology once in a while and meet face-to-face. Another aspect of socializing is to provide service to others. It is wonderful to donate money to worthy causes, but R Times is taking it one step further. We will provide opportunities for our users to personally serve others: whether it be the house next door, or the house across the world. Giving money is great, but serving each other bonds us together. That is our goal.
